really I do.

This week has been the worst! My mom went in last week for a day surgery so the doctor could test her for some things. The results came back Thursday and it turns out she has endometrial cancer. The initial shock of that has worn off and now it's time to focus on how to fix it. Also this week I attended a memorial service for a good friend of mine's dad who died last week at the age of 54 from esophageal cancer. My mom is 53 so I'm scared. And mad that cancer even exists. I hate cancer. I know my mom will be ok but it may be a long road. We don't know much yet until she meets with her oncologist. I know a lot of my friends have family battling some form of cancer right now and I know they hate cancer too. So, in my elementary school-like poetry writing skills on a sleepless night this weekend, I wrote about how much I HATE cancer.....

I Hate Cancer.
By, Brittainy Qualls

If cancer had a face, I'd slap it.
If cancer was a mouse, I'd trap it.

If cancer had an eye, I'd poke it.
If cancer won a medal, I'd revoke it.

If cancer was a ball, I'd throw it.
If cancer was a weed, I'd mow it.

If cancer was a bug, I'd smash it.
If cancer was a plane, I'd crash it.

If cancer had a heart, I'd break it.
If cancer had money, I'd take it.

If cancer was a cow, I'd tip it.
If cancer was a tooth, I'd chip it.

If cancer sang Karaoke, I'd boo it.
If cancer were a fly, I'd shoo it.

If cancer was a tree, I'd axe it.
If cancer was free, I'd tax it.

If cancer was of value, I'd steal it,
and if cancer hurts my mom, I'll KILL IT!
