Wednesday

Hello again. So this past week I have been dealing with all kinds of sick kids. Maizy had pneumonia and strep throat, then Avery had a double ear infection. When Maizy gets sick, as do all of my kids, she gets really whiney when she starts to feel better. Seems weird because you would think they would be whiney during the miserable part instead of the feeling better part. But anyway, today we had a dr. visit for Avery and afterwards we went to Kroger to get her meds. Well of course there was a problem so we had to come back in the afternoon after school to pick them up. Well Maizy is going through this phase where she likes to wear mis matched shoes and no pants! Don't ask. We are trying to work through this. So today was no different. When we went to get Kenna at school Maizy put on one red glittery shoe (on the wrong foot) and one pink flip flop (also wrong foot), and I had to force her into a pair of shorts that were 2 sizes too big in the parking lot. We get to Kroger and of course once again there is a problem so we only had to be in the store for a few minutes. Well Maizy didn't like that because normally we would spend an hour or two in Kroger and she would get candy at the end but today that wasn't going to happen and she got really mad about it. We started to walk out and she started screaming and crying and saying "NO, momma we have to stay!" Keep in mind that she is in mis matched shoes, has crazy bed head, and is in a Cardinals t shirt and shorts that are way too big for her! We are right up at the front of the store as she is throwing this fit and she flings her toy cell phone across the store and starts stomping her feet and screaming louder. At this point everyone is looking at us and I hope they are feeling sorry for me because I am trying everything to coax her into leaving and nothing is working. After a minute of stomping around, her shorts fell off. This makes her even more mad and makes me even more red. The big girls just walked away and went and stood at the door. So now I go over and pick up my screaming child with one red shoe and one flip flop and no pants on and walk as fast as I possibly could to the doors! The big girls are having to run to keep up with me. I have never been so embarrassed! So we get home and the kids want to know if they can play outside. I say no because Avery missed school today so she probably shouldn't be playing outside. I am so tired and upset with Maizy that I told the kids to just do something. I didn't care what they did as long as it was inside and not dangerous and I went into my room and turned on the news. After a little while I came into the kitchen to see what they were doing and they all 3 had on bathing suits and they had several of my clean towels out using them as "beach towels" and they had every single pillow we own in the floor as "water" and they were playing beach. Don't ask. I have no idea where the ideas come from or from whom they come from. Anyway, after we got that mess cleaned up and ate dinner, the kids are playing in the kitchen and Maizy decides that it is funny to smack people with the broom. As I'm cleaning the kitchen I tell her to put the broom down about 15 times. Well that never happens and she ended up busting Kenna in the mouth with it. Kenna's lip is fat and there is now blood all over my floor. As I try to explain to Maizy that this behavior is unacceptable, I bend down to her and we are face to face when she sneezes a full booger sneeze all over me! Seriously people, this is my Wednesday. Nice.
